Conference Topic: Finding Fulfillment in a world filled with uncertainty.
Topic Overview: With the world plagued by the uncertainties of the effects of the Corona Virus, the previous scandalously high unemployment/UN-employability rates, and the generally low quality of lives people live, it is becoming ever so difficult to find fulfillment, as people barely scrape up a living. Should this really be the case? What are the implications? How can we lead more fulfilling lives? These are some of the questions that this talk intends to answer.
Short Profile Bio: George Natural Onuorah is a YALI Fellow, Common Purpose Fellow and an African Change Maker Fellow and has over 10 years experience in Broadcast Journalism. He currently works as Social Change Journalist with Omega 101.7 Fm, Anambra and has previously worked with Anambra Broadcasting Service as radio/television presenter in addition to other media organizations. George uses his radio platform to engage in policy advocacy for Youth Empowerment and active participation in governance by the citizens. He serves as South-East Coordinator, we empower at-risk youth with skills required to end poverty and compete favourably in the global economy, in achievement of SDG 1, and also work to achieve Gender Equality (SDG5) & Quality Education (SDG 4), because we believe that inclusive ‘Quality Education’ is the surest vehicle to destination ‘No Poverty’.George has initiated, designed & implemented youth empowerment & development programmes at the University of Nigeria where he bagged a Bachelors degree in Theater and Film Studies and specialized in Acting/Writing/Directing, which he deploys in producing SDGs themed plays that have been staged in different communities. George is committed to the Broadcast Media/Theater & Film industry because he believes it’s the fastest way to affect the largest number of people and effect positive change. George has been nominated and won several awards due to his selfless service to humanity.
